The Bunkers Jo Wynn collaborated with American Legion Post 21 this past couple of months to come up with a way to get Veterans staying at local facilities like the Dayton House and Waters Edge some help and comraderie. Jo donated most of the contents of the very well received donation bags which included the note below. Post 21 plans to do something like this at least once a quarter, and we would appreciate any donations for this new Kenosha tradition.
Note that any group or veteran group can participate. While Jo supplied the much needed and welcomed supplies, Post 21 volunteers went to visit the Dayton and Waters Edge this holiday season. We stayed at the Dayton for a couple of hours handing out the bags and communing with the Veteran’s staying there. It was fun and rewarding.
