Our Parent Organization, Walkin’ In My Shoes is going to be in Kenosha for 21 years. Come and meet the kind people responsible for the Bunker Coffee House for Vets!

The Bunker’s and VFW Post 7308 took part in the 2026 Veterans Memorial Parade in Kenosha. Their float too 3rd Prize for patriotism. Prizes not withstanding, Jo said “I felt so honored to be a part of 250 years of history”. We think it’s an honor for “The Bunkers” to be part of our city!

On March 26, 2026, the Pleasant Prairie VFW Post 7308 presented Jo Wynn, CEO, Walkin’ In My Shoes Bunker Coffee House for Vets with an Appreciation Award at the coffee house. Pictured: Bobby Dyson, Art Provencher, John McCoy, Joel Eaves, and Larry Rugg.

Walkin’ In My Shoes is seeking a community donation of a wheelchair handicap accessible van with lift, and ramp for a disabled senior man in Kenosha. Can be used in good running conditions or new. Reporter Kevin Mathewson of the Kenosha County Eye recently profiled Jo and many of her accomplishment since arriving here near the turn of the Century. Jo noted “I am truly so blessed to give back to God’s people.” The nearly twenty years she has be doing this adds up to a lot of people helped.
