The Walkin’ In My Shoes nonprofit charitable organization is celebrating 19 years of service in Kenosha.
Walkin’ In My Shoes is committed to helping individuals and families regain their dignity, hope and rightful stance in society.
Their mission is to decrease the homeless population in the nation by networking with public, private, religious and other organizations to form strong alliances supporting the efforts of those who want to have and who deserve a better life.
Walkin’ In My Shoes GOAL:
Walkin’ In My Shoes is looking for community support in this cause to help people move beyond shelter into permanent housing. Please join Walkin’ In My Shoes in this humanitarian effort to end homeless in America.

Join Walkin’ in my shoes tonight for a fundraiser at Texas Roadhouse. Walkin’ in my shoes is the organization that runs the Bunker Coffee House for vets.

World war II and Korean war veterans have a new place to meet. Come and celebrate your stories with old war buddies, and meet some new ones. We’ll have the music you love, and free coffee and light snacks. The Bunkers is wheelchair accessible!

Want to know more about Jo and her altruistic efforts in Kenosha, check out an interview with her by Donnie of the Ktown Connects Podcast on Youtube. Jo and Donnie talk about the organization, the coffee house, and upcoming events you won’t want to miss. Click here: or on the picture!

Members of the Kenosha Area Vietnam Veterans Honor Guard visited the coffee house this morning , April 19th. We had been at the Heroes Cafe, and decided to go see the good folks at the Bunkers. The free coffee and Apple Fritter didn’t make us sorry either. Neither did the awesome company!
