Jo Wynn’s The Bunker’s Coffee House for Vets received a donation from Rich Bowker and Tim Green on September 9th. The Bunker is a is a Veteran’s hangout with many amenities. If you haven’t been there yet, check them out at 2211 50th St. in Kenosha.

The Kenosha County Veterans Service Office held a Retirement Ceremony at The American Legion Post 21 for Outgoing County Executive Jim Kreuser. It was attended by many county veteran groups. The KAVV Posted Colors. Jim Kreuser treated the KAVV Very well during his tenure.

Ingram Park, Pleasant Prairie, WI – Memorials and our nations colors flying over memorial trees planted in honor of each of the Kenosha County service men who lost their lives in the Vietnam War. The Flagpole, trees, and markers Were provided by the KAVV.

Tim stated he was truly surprised at his birthday party last month thanks to Woody and Tim Jr’s sneakiness! Good food and good company! Great Party Sue.

I think it is fair to say that all of you have witnessed first hand how the KAVV Honor Guard is profoundly important to the families that request our service. You probably know that the KAVV has been described as a “Dead Man’s Club”. Well the current leadership is determined to change that. The KAVV now has Honor Guard Associate Members. The first such member is Tom “Woody” Visintainer, pictured below at his first funeral. Welcome Woody, we’re glad to have you!
