Last night, Rich Willoughby, a former Navy Corpsman, answered the calls of guests at the funeral we were guarding for someone with medical experience. Rich rodger’d up and followed them to a woman who was having a seizure. With his experience, he was able to provide instruction and comfort to the other guests while awaiting the ambulance. Other members of the KAVV helped out by directing the ambulance and clearing a path in the snow. The woman came out of the seizure very much ok. Glad you are part of the team Rich!

I think it is fair to say that all of you have witnessed first hand how the KAVV Honor Guard is profoundly important to the families that request our service. You probably know that the KAVV has been described as a “Dead Man’s Club”. Well the current leadership is determined to change that. The KAVV now has Honor Guard Associate Members. The first such member is Tom “Woody” Visintainer, pictured below at his first funeral. Welcome Woody, we’re glad to have you!
