On October 9th, KAVV Treasurer Richard Bowker visited he Bunker’s to bless the Coffee House with a donation in the amount of $500.00. We are very grateful to Rich and his organization for their continued support.

Saturday July 12th was Jo Wynn day by order of an Executive Proclamation by Kenosha County Executive Samantha. The certificate was issued at a gathering on July 3rd. The Certificate says a lot, but it doesn’t say it all! Thanks for all you do for the Community Jo!

On Jo Wynn Day, there was a picnic in the parking lot. It was a awesome gathering with good food and good people. If you have more picture, please send them our way!

While started by American Legion Post 21 in collaboration with The Bunkers Coffee House for Veterans, this is not a Post 21 initiative, but rather a veterans helping veterans project. The purpose is not just to give care packages, but to spend time talking with veterans for a few hours and let them know their service to the United States is still appreciated.

If you want to know more about the Kenosha Cares for Vets program and how to get involved, contact one of the veteran organizations listed above through their websites.

Here are two new photo albums. They can also be found on our Media page, available from the main menu.

The first album features the KKFV team delivering care packages to veterans at the Dayton Hotel.

This second album shows how the care packages came to be. Here the KKFV team and volunteers assembling care packages.
