This page is a work in progress. So far the source document of this page is a binder that is marked Locomotives, 40-8 / L.Jensen. It was given to me to scan by Past Chef de Chemin de Fer Bill Lyons (1984) son Dave, who got it in turn from his brother Tim. While Dave is not eligible to become a member, he was pivotal in getting Voiture 410’s Locomotive restoration project underway. He is also a great source of the history of Voiture 410
Dave has been a member of SAL Squadron 21 nearly his whole life, and has a great many stories about “Ol’ 410” which he rode in as a child. With a little luck, some of those stories will soon be gracing these pages. Bill Lyon’s grandson Jon is a Voiture 41 voyageur, and is our current Aumonier/ Locomotive Coordinator. Last year, Dave and Jon honored Bill’s memory by driving the locomotive together in the Racine Parade (and boy does he have a story about that trip). I had the honor of riding with Dave in the Kenosha Parade.
